If you’ve found this site by now you obviously love Ben 10 like the MILLIONS of other across the globe! Ben 10 first aired back in December 2005, well December 27th to be exact, as a part of the Cartoon Networks Saturday Morning Lineup. The shows popularity grew until sadly the final episode aired in April 2008. The show had a long journey thru 4 seasons and 49 crazy episodes!
For those who don’t know Ben 10 revolves around Ben Tennyson, as well as his cousin Gwen, and their grandfather Max. Ben 10 also revolves around a device called the Omnitrix. A watch like device witch binds alien DNA to Bens, allowing him to transform into that alien for 10 minutes. The Omnitrix is very difficult to remove, almost being embedded in the skin. It releases a burst of energy when it is taken off! It has been said to have a mind of its own!! The Omnitrix even grows with its user, and even passes sickness from the user onto the aliens witch possess it. The Omnitrix takes practice, it was built that way by its creator, Azmuth. Ben only has limited use of the Omnitix at the beginning. But it can be used more effectively by the aliens who are more familiar with it, and when it is used in “Master Control”, one can switch to any alien just by thinking about it, and even morph from one alien straight to another. It was built by its creator, Azmuth, to give the species of the universe the ability to understand one another, but was eventually looked at as a weapon by warlords like Vilgax, that’s why a self destruct function was put in it. The Omnitix even has the ability to repair DNA damage!
The show began with Ben, of course, getting into a fight with Gwen on their summer camping trip, and after taking his anger out by himself in the wood he stumbles upon an alien pod on the ground! In this pod he finds something similar to a watch which attaches too his wrist which is called the Omnitrix! This Omnitrix is where it all starts, and is where Ben gets the ability to transform into multiple alien life forms with all sorts of alien powers!!!! Crazy I know!!!! This is when it all starts, and when Ben realizes the great responsibility he has too help people now.
Ben’s first nemesis turns out to be the alien warlord Vilgax. Vilgax wanted too conquer the galaxy using the Omnitrix, and sent many of his drones too get it from Ben, and then even came to retrieve it himself. But they where stopped by Ben, Gwen, and Max. Into the second season Ben fights many other villains including Vilgax and Kevin who absorbed one of Ben 10’s ten forms. Who both team up against Ben but end up getting trapped in an alternate dimension, or the Null Void. Ben even has too defeat Ghostfreak, one of bens 10 forms who escaped from the Omnitrix and wanted to possess Ben! But Ghostfreak was defeated. Now Ben keeps getting more and more alien forms from his contact with so many aliens. Now even in the third season Ghostfreak is resurrected, and Ben has to stop Doctor Vicktor, from using his corrodium beam projected, to rule the earth with total control! But he is killed by the sun, but not before his DNA was re-added back into the Omnitrix! During the end of Ben 10, Ben has to defeat the Forever Knights Organization, or Forever King, who put together a group of Ben’s alien enemies, the “Negative 10” to steal the power from his family. Ben is eventually victorious at a battle at Mount Rushmore. Ben eventually tries too return too a normal life and reveal his identity to his father and the public, but not before his final battle with Vilgax.
Since the end of the final season of Ben 10 there have been two movies released. The first, “Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix”, and the second, “Ben 10: Race Against Time”. In Secret of the Omnitrix, Ben has to track down the creator of the Omnitrix, because it was accidentally set to self destruct! In Race Against Time, Ben, Gwen, and Max are trying to return too a normal life but are forced too fight another alien connected to the Omnitrix, named Eon.
And don’t miss the sequel too the Ben 10 series, “Ben 10: Alien Force”, airing April 18th 2008!
As you can see if you haven’t seen Ben 10 you better get started! This show has appeal too all age groups. It has elements of action, adventure, science, and humor. Ben 10 can still be seen on TV and is a show you cant miss!!!! There also is so much Ben 10 merchandise form DVD’s, to poster, figurines, and the list goes on!
